Spouting Rock

After enjoying Hanging Lake for 30 minutes, we climbed up to the source of the lake -- Spouting Rock...


... a hole in the cliff wall through which thundering water poured. A close examination of the cliff face revealed several additional holes, which also spout during Spring's high melt off.

... and here's the view from the other side after walking beneath the falls.



A short walk to the cliff edge is rewarded by a view back down over Hanging Lake, which is constantly replenished by Spouting Rock, yet another of those "Let me sit here and contemplate for a few moments" locations.
