Yellowstone National Park is Wild...

... and also behind the times, it seems. Even when camping we managed to find wi-fi access in the lodges back in Arkansas a few months ago and in the Tetons the last few days, but nowhere in Yellowstone. Not even in the lobby areas of the grand (and expensive) hotels at Lake or Old Faithful or Canyon or Mammoth. One receptionist, in a rather testy tone of voice, said, "No we don't have wi-fi. We are a long way from civilization!" Okay, I know she's right, but minutes later our waiter informed us that the employees have wireless Internet in their dorm a few hundred yards from the restaurant. I bet they have to offer it to employees or the (usually young) servers, cooks, store clerks, etc, won't come work here for the summer months. But why don't they extend the service to their high-rate paying clients? And why lie to people who inquire?

Anyway, here are three shots of wildlife -- a stag, a coyote, and an elk. More to come...
