Biked 25 miles today with Dave and Patti -- starting in the mid 60s and still a bit foggy, and gradually warming to the 70s and clearing a bit.
The section between Crystal Lake and McHenry has sod fields, corn fields, and a splash of housing developments. How long before the suburban sprawl invades idyllic McHenry County and turns the open spaces into homes? What price progress?
At least the segment with Veteran's Acres Park and Sterne's Woods will forever remain wild, and the roller coaster hills through this section will be around for our children and grandchildren to enjoy.
The parking lot looks like a Toyota RAV4 commercial when we park next to each other.
