We met Len and Marlene and Dave and Patti at Crabtree and hiked 90 minutes through the pristine new-fallen snow. The sign as you enter the preserve is good advice for interacting with Nature wherever you are:
We were greeted by 2 cardinals and numerous finches, nuthatches, and chickadees...
... and by quick evidence of the depth of the new snow cover on top of the several feet already fallen this season. Anyone need a rest break?
Ellen, Marlene, and Patti enjoy the scenery...
... as so do Dave and Len...
... and then after the snowy saunter, we all enjoyed breakfast at Egg Harbor Cafe in Barrington. I'll miss the snow when I leave for Arkansas in a week (but not too much!)
