On this trail, you'll find a myriad of possible paved routes to take, most of which are for access from neighborhoods. Signs as seen below often will direct you to stay on the actual trail, but there are places where you could be confused and have to turn around to find the actual trail.
It is helpful that trail maps are regularly located along the trail showing where you are.
The trail is paved and mostly in good shape as it follows the flood canal, occasionally changing sides via bridges. There are a few road crossings as well as several underpasses along the route.
You'll find scenic areas as well as residential areas along the route.
The trail connects the High Line Trail to Quincy Reservoir. In addition to Horseshoe Park, parking is available as Quincy Reservoir off Quincy Avenue, as well as at Aurora Municipal Center at 15151 E. Almeda Parkway.
