Deer Grove cloaked in white is truly a winter wonderland as the photos attest, and we saw a number of cross country skiers enjoying the snowfall as well as 11 shy deer (so Ellen no longer calls this preserve "Deerless Grove.")
I forgot the Nikon today so I used my new iPhone's camera and the photos came out pretty well, as seen here as Ellen threatens a menacing attack with a snowball...
... which she did not follow through on.
After our 2 hour plus hike, we relaxed with wonderful breakfast fare at Walker Brothers Original Pancake House in Lake Zurich. (See Ellen's blog for photos of the meals.)
