We're on our way to Florida's warmer weather, but spending the first two nights in Memphis. The welcome center advertises Memphis as "The Home of the Blues" in honor of its very own B. B. King, and also bills itself as "The Birthplace of Rock and Roll" in honor of Elvis. We were disappointed because Mud Island and its attractions doesn't open until April, so we found...
... and then walked Beale Street, enjoying the signs and smells of the eateries such as B. B. Kings...
... and Pig, which advertises "Pork with an attitude" and ...
... beer of course ...
Tomorrow we tour Graceland, indulge in a 5-star ribs dinner, and , we hope, get in a mountain bike ride on a local trail.
