...on another beautiful, crisp winter morning. The six miles and 2+ hours passed quickly thanks to sparkling conversation covering the past week's activities and the upcoming trips we'd be on. Below are Len and Dave as we pass some flowing water even though it's only 25 degrees out. No deer sightings today, but we were surprised at seeing two Bluebirds mixed among the usual winter avian residents.
And here the group tops one of the hills as we near the end of the hike. Ellen has gone ahead to visit relatives in Missouri and then on to Arkansas to re-open her place after an absence of several months. I'll be rejoining her there in a a week or so.
After the hike, we enjoyed a wonderful meal and more conversation at Colonial Cafe in Crystal Lake.

Hey Handsome,
It sure looks cold there...it is a balmy 61 degrees here in Arkansas!
