The rafting delayed our drive to the Tetons and we didn't get to the Signal Mountain Campground until 5pm. Fortunately there were still a few spots available and here's our site. We hung all our VERY wet rafting clothes to dry...
... and then walked the campground shoreline along Jackson Lake and enjoyed the panoramic views of the Teton Mountains in the background...
...and also spotted an unusual campground guest foraging at dusk. We then attended Ranger Amy's presentation on the importance of ants to the ecosystem here as well as all around the world. (Did you know that the total weight of all ants on the planet surpasses the weight of all humans?)
We walked over to the lodge to blog and check email and found this old PBX station which was similar to but smaller than the one I ran for 1 1/2 years as my job while attending Chicago State University. Oh what fond memories it brought back to mind!
