
... a hole in the cliff wall through which thundering water poured. A close examination of the cliff face revealed several additional holes, which also spout during Spring's high melt off.

A short walk to the cliff edge is rewarded by a view back down over Hanging Lake, which is constantly replenished by Spouting Rock, yet another of those "Let me sit here and contemplate for a few moments" locations.
