You can't roller skate in a buffalo herd...
... as Roger Miller sang years ago. Well, you also can't DRIVE through a bison herd! Here we were stopped for over 15 minutes with dozens of other vehicles -- both directions -- as 13 or more bison held a confabulation in the middle of the road between Canyon and Lake in Yellowstone NP. Twice more we were stopped for shorter time periods -- and very few people were angry or impatient! How unlike city behavior and actually quite refreshing to witness.
