Deer Grove FP hike

The cloudless sky and blazing sun didn't seem to warm the 12 degree air temperature, but did warm our spirits, as we hiked for 85 minutes with Patti and Dave and Marlene and Len in Deer Grove.

Lots of deer tracks but no deer appeared today, though a few cross country skiers were out on the trails with us. The trail alongside the partially-frozen creek was particularly scenic today as noted in this photo...

A lunch at Billy's in Palatine rounded out the morning before heading home and resting up for tonight's performance. (See the post below this.)
