Lakewood hike

It was great to get out for 90 minutes today and get energized by a hike in Lakewood Forest Preserve. More snow is predicted for later, but only a few flurries hit as we hiked with Patti and Dave, encountering no people but spotting 8 or so deer.

Tonight is the party, celebrating the successful community chorus concerts, and my next 6 days will entail 3 rehearsals and 3 performances for the church choir presentation, so every chance to get out will be relished this week.

Dang, that looks cold!! When was it you said you guys were exiting the area for Southern climes ... January? Sure you don't want to go sooner? :)

It was actually the warmest today that it's been for weeks! We spend the holidays here with my family and we'll leave for the south at the start of January.
